Henry's Headway Challenge

The event has now been confirmed as happening on Monday 12th July 2010 at Buckmore Park in Kent.

The race has two main aims, 1. To raise awareness and funds for Headway Tunbridge Wells and 2. To allow friends and colleagues of Henry to get together to celebrate Henry's life. The race will be a 2.5 hour endurance race with 35 teams of 5 drivers taking part. To enter the race please contact Bill Williams (bill@racing4charity.com) to request an entry form and request a space reserved on the team list. Teams and drivers entered will be added to the Race Teams pages of this website.

There is no set entry fee. The event has an obvious aim and to achieve those aims we require donations. The organisers have left it to you to decide what you think you should donate to secure a team space. If you wish any further guidence or wish to discuss having an advert in the event programme please contact Derek Redfern (derek.redfern@haymarket.com).

The race will be run under the rules set by Buckmore Park, these will be based on the usual corporate event run at outdoor kart centres. With five drivers per team there will be a set number of pitstops required but it will be team managers to decide when those pit stops occur!

The time-table set for the event is as follows:
1000             Gates open.
1000-1100  Driver/team sign on.
1120             Welcome brief
1130-1215  Drivers briefing
1245-1330  Practice/Qual (All drivers)
1400-1630  Henry's Headway Challenge.
1640            Awards.
