Le Mans 24 Hours winner, David Brabham’s Racing4Charity Celebrity Karting Challenge will exclusively return to the Karting Show at Autosport International 2010 by popular demand, to offer the biggest and best event yet.
The Celebrity Karting Challenge is the UK’s only motorsport event to welcome former Formula One stars, sports car legends, rallying aces and aspiring champions of the future racing wheel-to-wheel with the general public. Over the past two years this unique event has raised a staggering £92,000 for worthy causes, from the Richard Burns Foundation to Nara (The Breathing Charity).
Brabham, who currently leads the American Le Mans Series with Patrón Highcroft Racing, commented: “We’re working hard at making this event the best yet. Some exciting things are in the pipeline, so keep checking back for updates. The event has always attracted great drivers and this year we hope to host more high profile celebrities from both inside and outside the sport. It should be a cracking event that will hopefully eclipse all previous fundraising records.”
The event has become the traditional stomping ground for top racers from across world motorsport to go head-to-head to prove which racing series boasts the best drivers. David Brabham, Allan McNish, Emanuele Pirro, Johnny Herbert, Dindo Capello, Frank Biela, Tom Kristensen, Darren Turner, Marino Franchitti and MSA British Rally and Race Elite drivers are all regular stalwarts of the event, when their schedules allow.
With that all-star driver line-up, and two entrance tickets to Autosport International also included in the £300 public entry fee, it’s no surprise that the limited public places sell out well in advance of this annual January event.
